U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced on January 31, 2020 that employers should begin using its most recent version of the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form dated 10/21/2019. Employers can continue to use the prior version of Form I-9 dated 7/17/2017 through April 30, 2019.
Effective May 1, 2020, employers must use only the 10/21/2019 version of Form I-9.
